Fanfiction writers all over the world have been writing for the love of the craft for years, and have created some remarkable, publishable worthy literature in that time. It takes a long time to mould a story, and in most cases that dedication goes unrewarded. Well now things are different. In the last quarter of 2008, www.EntropiaFiction.com launched. Since that launch EntropiaFiction has gone on to partner with First Planet Company, makers of Planet Calypso, and now offers financial rewards to dedicated fanfiction writers. About Planet Calypso
Planet Calypso is a massively multiplayer online game with a real cash economy. What does this mean? Essentially, it means that whatever ingame currency you earn (PED) can be converted into real life money! PED has a set conversion ratio of 10 to $1US, though you can convert ingame money to whatever your native currency is. Planet Calypso is also hosted within the Entropia Universe, which is a platform for making accessible numerous online worlds through one place. With each extra game launched, EntropiaFiction will open new sections dedicated to them. So, how do I earn cash?
Every two weeks EntropiaFiction.com issues a challenge, these challenges are short and allow all levels of Planet Calypso players a chance to win ingame items. Those items are transferable for real life money, or can be used to increase the skill level of your ingame avatar. What do I need to do to enter?
All you need is a avatar within the virtual world of Planet Calypso, the client is completely free to download and game is free to play for a long as you like, simply download the client from http://www.planetcalypso.com/. The only other thing you need is an account at www.EntropiaFiction.com, which is also completely free! So, if you're a fanfiction writer and want to monetize your work, you can do so without the worry of court cases. This is great step forward in recognizing and promoting the talent of fan writers all over the world. |
